Vanilla Liquor for Dinner

Slow day as Raziel didn't have rehearsal and we didn't really arise until 10:00. Nikki, Pete & I went into town to see if the Canon shop was open as I was wanting to get my camera cleaned. But Mexico has a funny thing about public holidays ... there is a public holiday on Thursday, so the days leading up to it are called bridging days, which basically mean people take them off as well. And because Friday is just one day in the week, chances are they will take Friday off as well. So not many working this week, including the Canon shop. We then had a very laid back lunch at the vegetarian restaurant again, and picked up some vege's. As we were deciding to head home it started to rain, but we had wanted to get some bread for Raziel as it was one of his treats and he didn't come with us. So Nikki spoke to a taxi driver, and he was able to take us to the bread shop, and then home pretty cheaply. He seemed like a really nice man, so we got him some bread too and gave him a tip for being so patient with us.
Tonight I thought I'd have a bit of fun with the Vanilla Liquor we bought in Papantla, and made dinner out of fried bananas, tortillas, with a salsa of vanilla liquor, chilli and walnuts. Tasted more like a desert than dinner, but Nikki & Raziel were very patient with my experiment. Raziel added some cheese to the table and it tasted even better.
