Real Madrid

Out and about on buses and walking. Headed off to the Museum Del Prado to get a bit-a cul-cha. If you are going to visit one museum out of the 100 or so that are here, I would say this is the one to get to. It is filled with famous works, and to truly appreciate it you need to probably spend a day there. Much of the collection you are not allowed to photograph, but if you google you will find just a taste of what we saw. We then went onto to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium home of Real Madrid Soccer. The stadium is enormous and you could just imagine the atmosphere of a home game. We got to go high up in the stadium as well as in the trophy room, down on the bench and into the players dressing rooms (no-one present unfortunately). Who knows I might just become a fan by the time the world cup comes to Australia. We then tried to get hold of a friend of a friend, Raul, who lives in Madrid, and with a comedy of errors of payphones not working and loosing phone numbers it just didn't happen. It may have been the best thing though, as it turned out it was another night with the porcelin throne.
