Cruising the Inside Passage

We have had a marvelous week sailing the inside passage to Alaska, visiting Juneau, Skagway & Ketchikan not to mention Glacier Bay. I think Glacier Bay was definitely a highlight as our ship came so close to the Glacier's it was just a beautiful and memorable sight. We'll be back in Vancouver tomorrow, and will be there until Monday when we head off to Park City, Utah via LA. Yep, we're headed through the dreaded LAX once more. This is a quick post as the internet charges on board are astronomical! Will add pictures soon. Bec & Pete xxx

We've Arrived

Well we have arrived safe and sound in sunny 18C Vancouver. Had a 2 hour delay sitting on the tarmac to depart Melbourne as there was a medical emergency, and someone had to be taken off the flight - hope they are okay. So by the time we got to LAX, and through immigration, customs, baggage etc there was a mad dash from Terminal 4 to Terminal 2 for our Air Canada flight. Ended up being escorted by the check-in lady right literally right onto the plane. We are now staying with Manon & Tony until tomorrow when we board our cruise for a week heading to Alaska. Manon runs The Bowen College here, and we will be teaching there next weekend. They are beautiful people and we feel very lucky being in their home. Will spend today with Tony walking the sights & scenery of the wonderous offers of Vancouver.

Getting Very Close

As most of our mates know we are doing an around the world adventure, leaving Melbourne tomorrow and not returning until 23 January 2009 (Bec's Birthday!). Hopefully with this site we will be able to connect with you while we are travelling, without spending a copious amount of time in internet cafe's. You can still email us at absolutebodyharmony@yahoo.com.au while we are away, but we may just be a little delayed in responding.

So tomorrow, Melbourne to Los Angeles, then LA to Vancouver getting in around 2pm. A couple of days there, and then we are on a cruise to Alaska. Very Exciting.

Getting Close

Well, its getting very close now, only 3 more sleeps. Feeling more excited as each day passes, and looking forward to getting to the airport, checking in, sitting in Qantas Club, and exhaling!

Around the World - The Big Plan

At the end of 2007 we put a message out to the universe that we wanted to travel visiting ancient wonders of the world. Who would have thought 6 months later that our vision would actually be coming to fruision. We have now booked our round the world flights, travelling to Vancouver, Park City, Jalapa, Peru, Cuzco, Cairo, London, Mumbai & Beijing. Our first stop in Vancouver will also include an amazing cruise through the inside passage to Alaska. Its going to be truly amazing and we simply can't wait. We head off on 15 September 2008 and will be returning at the end of January 2009. We tried to think of how we can keep everyone in the loop of where we are up to on our travels so they can track what we are doing, and thought blogging might be the way to go. So welcome aboard, stay tuned and if anyone has a friend or family member in these wonderful parts of the world who would like to homestay us, please let us know. Bec & Pete x
