Is this van called Christine?

As we the time had got so late from our departure from Kilmarnock, we ended up stopping at a truck stop at about 1am and bedded down for the night. Upon awakening we had the best of intentions of hitting the road, getting to London and checking in to a place to catch some sightseeing in the afternoon. Well those were the intentions. The car was covered in ice, and we had a flat tyre. Luckily where we had stopped there was toilet facilities and some food so we weren't exactly destitute, but still had problems. The spare tyre was under the van and the bolt to loosen it was under the sink which was bolted into the van, so it was a very slow process to try and get the spare out. Finally the spare was free, and boy was it looking a bit sad. It looked like it had just come off a combie from the 60's. Tyre on, and then taking a very steady trip down the highway, as the wheel felt like it was going to come off and start taking off ahead of us. We stopped in at the next rest stop and made a call to the car hire place - wicked campers. We said that we wanted to return the van early, that the battery was a bit dodgy and the spare tyre was pretty much the same. They said that we could but we wouldn't get a return on our money, and that if we wanted a knew battery or tyre we could buy one and they would reimburse us. Yeah sure. Hobbled our way to Watford where we found a cheap place to stay before dark. What a day!
